Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron’s 6th Annual Fun Run took place on Saturday, August 17. The event, which included a 10K and 5K (walk and run) and a 1-mile fun run, attracted 426 participants of all fitness levels, from marathoners to casual runners.

Awards were handed out for each age category as well as to the overall winners, including the top three male and female finishers. Curt Silverthorn of Yale and Alana Koepf of Avoca finished first overall in the 5K race, both receiving first place medals, and David Currie of Sarnia and Amy McNabb of Emmett placed first overall in the 10K race, both receiving first place medals.

"We always encourage our patients to maintain healthy, active lifestyles, and this year’s event was another fun opportunity to celebrate our patients’ and community members’ successes," says Dr. Wilmont R. Kreis, sports medicine doctor at Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron. "We're thankful for the enthusiastic community support we received for the event this year."

Runners received free biomechanical foot assessments and shoewear recommendations from the Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron therapists.
