Reflecting on 30 Years at Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron

In honor of the 30-year anniversary of Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron, we’re inviting all of our current and past patients to share your stories! "Severe osteoarthritis took its toll on my knees, and my quality of life suffered for several years. I opted for pain management for more than six years before deciding to undergo two total knee replacements. Dr. Todd Murphy performed the surgeries on September 5, 2012, and November 30, 2012, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. As soon as I completed physical therapy for my second knee replacement, I began attending a gym four days a week. Working out was something I really missed when my knees were in such bad shape, because I had always been so active. Now, my legs are getting stronger every day, and I no longer need to order a wheel chair at airports. I feel like the sky is the limit, thanks to Dr. Todd Murphy. By the way, I just turned 65, and I feel better than I did at 55!"

"In January 2010, my life changed forever. I was walking to the store, fell on some ice, and broke my hip. Friends called an ambulance, and I asked to be taken to Port Huron Hospital. I met with Dr. Gary Doss, a man whom I had never met before. Little did I know that we would soon become much better acquainted. I am a diabetic and heart patient, so I had to be stabilized. Talking to Dr. Doss gave me confidence that things would work out. He is a great surgeon and a very peaceful man to get along with. He replaced my hip, and when I recovered, he was there for me."

"I had surgery on April 29, 2013, for a ruptured disc at L5-S1, with compression of my sciatic nerve. I suffered for 10 long months with this. The last four months were pretty much unbearable, due to the severity of pain. I just want to thank Dr. Pasia for giving me my life back!!! I can sleep, sit, ride in a car, and walk without limping. I felt like I would never be able to enjoy even the simple things in life again, so thank you Dr. Pasia for giving me back my quality of life, from the bottom of my heart!"
