Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness Endorses 7th Annual Fun Run

A Port Huron tradition for the past several years, Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron’s annual Fun Run attracts runners, walkers, and community members of all ages and ability levels with the goal of promoting healthy lifestyles. This year, the run will hold special distinction from the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports.

“We are always proud of the enthusiastic support we receive from our community for our annual Fun Run,” says Dr. Rajesh B. Makim, sports medicine doctor at Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron. “It is an honor to receive recognition from the Governor’s Council as well.”

Established in 1992 through an executive order by Governor John M. Engler, the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports works to improve health and increase physical activity among Michigan residents.
