400 Turn Out for 5th Annual Fun Run

More than 400 people participated in Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron’s 5th Annual Fun Run on August 18. The community event attracted individuals of all levels of fitness, from marathoners to casual runners. The event included a 10K, 5K (walk and run), and a one-mile run.

Awards were handed out to winners in each age category as well as to the overall winners, including the top three male and female finishers. Jesse Parker of North Street placed first overall in the 5K race, and Brad Mallory of Port Huron Township placed first overall in the 10K race.

“It was great to have such enthusiastic community participation at the Fun Run again this year,” says Dr. Todd P. Murphy, participant and sports medicine specialist at Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron. “It’s a fun way to promote healthy lifestyles.”

Runners received pre- and post-race massages and participated in pre- and post-race stretching.
