Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron Celebrates 30 Years in Practice

On Thursday, May 16, 2013, Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron celebrated its 30-year anniversary. Treating only general orthopedics when it was founded in 1983, Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron has since expanded to also treat the hand and wrist and spine as well as injuries and conditions relating to sports medicine, joint replacement, and pain management.

Drs. Wilmont R. Kreis, D. David Ernst, and Michael R. Shier formed the practice in 1983, serving patients from across the Blue Water area, from Algonac to Port Austin, with the goal of helping patients overcome pain and injury and return to their active lifestyles. Now with 10 physicians, three physician assistants, five physical therapists, and numerous supporting staff members, the practice continues to grow and thrive.

“We have been privileged and honored to provide orthopedic care to the people of Port Huron and the surrounding communities for the past 30 years,” Dr. Wilmont R. Kreis, sports medicine doctor at Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron, says. “We look forward to our future as we continue to treat the orthopedic needs of people throughout the Blue Water area.”
